Thank you delegates for making this event successful. Without you this event would not have been possible. We would also like to thank the host-sites i.e. Coninx, London Distillers, PZ Cussons and Kariki for allowing us to see their best practices. Last but not the least we would like to thank our opening & closing keynote speakers Dr. Julius and Dr. Jasper for taking out time from their busy schedule and coming and sharing their experience & insights.

This year it was the 13th KAM - KAIZEN™ Event and KAM & Kaizen Institute has been doing this from last 13 years in row. We had participation from various organizations & industries and there were 60+ delegates who attended the event on both the days.

for Chandaria Industries Ltd at The Tribe Hotel, Nairobi.

The objective of the conclave was to have an interactive session with the top management and to look back and look forward as regards to kaizen journey. It is very important to seek clarity & align the goals, to define the true north and get committed for continuation of the kaizen journey.

It was in 2005 that we launched the 1st Kaizen Institute annual Kaizen event (in collaboration with KAM) in Kenya, and it seems like yesterday!   We are pleased to share that we just concluded a well attended 11th version of this annual event!

Yes it has been 11 years on the tort! 11 years of Sharing, Learning, Networking – with one thread binding all those who attend – The KAIZEN Spirit! The spirit of Continual Improvement.

The theme this year was: Monozukuri for Hitozukuri (“Product Excellence through Employee Excellence”)

We are glad to share that we have recently concluded a batch on Certified Kaizen Practitioner (CKP) for GIAD Industrial Group @ Sudan. CKP is our flagship program offered worldwide and it covers 3 modules of 4 days each. We congratulate all the participants for successfully completing the CKP programs.

The April 2015 KAIZEN JAPAN TOUR was held from April 19th to April 25th commencing from Nagoya. The tour included visits to world class plants including Toyota Motomachi Plant, sessions/ training by experts and lecture by Sensei Masaaki Imai on the last day. Kaizen Institute Africa (KIA) & Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) successfully conducted a breakfast meeting on Operational Excellence for Business Excellence at Protea Hotels Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria on the 9th of March, 2015.

 

Ethio Telecom has embarked on the journey of Kaizen/Lean. The journey began with the training by Kaizen Institute Africa. The objective of the training was to get an insight of Kaizen in Service environment by learning the concepts of:

1. Principles of Kaizen

2. Concepts of Kaizen Management System

3. Need of Shift in Paradigms

4. Awareness on Non Value Adding Activities

5. Work Place Organization

6. Making productive use of resources through “standards” & standard work 

7. 8 Step Methodology of Kaizen

8. PDCA/ SDCA 

9. Kaizen support Organization & Employee involvement

This journey is going to be further supported by provide training & handholding support for Kaizen implementation through learning by doing.
